Playing:
Is first and foremost an extremely talented guitarist. I'm obsessed with my guitar and play and write constantly across a plethora of genre's and am never happier than when inventing new techniques and pushing boundaries.
Singing:
I have a superb, enigmatic voice and absolutely love singing. Especially to an audience. Anywhere I go I can be found humming some new tune or other I'm dreaming up or furiously scribbling or stabbing new lyrical ideas into whatever device I have to hand.
Composing:
Never one to be easily satisfied I'm also obsessed with putting together symphonies (or cacophonies!) of noise. I found very early on that, unlike most musicians, writing music with a wide range of instruments in mind is as natural to me as breathing. Even as I lay down a guitar riff my mind happily fills in all the other surrounding elements that will support and lift it up, elements that will interweave and fight and challenge, the ambience, the drama and the passion! The only problem I find is not having enough arms to write all my notes down at once!
Producing:
In order to be an expert you need to master all the areas of a field and production skills are essential for the modern musician. My superbly trained ears combined with second-to-none technological knowledge mean I can effortlessly cross boundaries to achieve outstanding results time and again. From working on my own projects and others to lecturing on Audio engineering and Soundscapes up to university Masters level my experience and confidence is undisputable.
Promoting:
It's not about dull letters and boring phonecalls, it's about getting out there and meeting people, thrusting yourself into the midst of unexpecting groups and saying hello.
Wherever there is an event going down, a gig going on I'll always be on my way there to steal the show!
Entertaining:
Almost everything I do is done with entertainment in mind: I live it, breathe it, eat it, sleep it!
Life should be exciting and daring and I fill every dull moment I can with madness and daring-do.
Nothing is too extreme, nothing too wild. I'm opinionated and clever, cutting and witty and love a challenge.
